Alchemy was tricky business. Caden, of all people, should have known. They didn’t call him ‘the Alchemist’ for nothing. He should have seen the signs, should have read them with the powers his Phlinx blood had graced him with. If he had paid closer attention, he wouldn’t have been in this particular predicament: a hefty, phallic shape thrusting down his mouth, while vines of all shapes and sizes kept his body immobile, ripping at his clothing as they roamed over his skin. They sought out soft spots, prodded and poked at his body and exposed every shameful part of it to the audience of other plants in the workshop. Caden wondered if they had sentient minds as well. His own was much too analytic to fully comprehend that he was about to be raped by a cucumber plant.
