 Post subject: Caravan troubles~ |

For all the players involved in the 'Rest Day' caravan topic (and the caravan in general): Cuddles 'n moi have been PMing about stirring some life up in the caravan section. Our 'Rest Day' topic is a little bogged down due to player breaks and slow responses (which is not a point of critisism *flails* just saying!), so we thought it would be fun to put some spring back into the caravan's step and maybe have a child or two kidnapped. Maybe not in the 'Rest Day' topic, but a new one.
Anyone have any epic ideas or plotlines they are dying to play? Or an idea who on earth would be so foolish and mean to go for the innocent children? *swoons dramatically* Oh, the horror!! Not the children~
Ahum. Anyway! I'll be posting up some ideas soon~ <3

Hi there, I got your message so I'm going to post here from now on. It'll be easier for me to monitor too ^^
Well, Taern has been having trouble with poachers, slavers and bandits in the area. Some of them are determined to eliminate him to ensure uninterrupted plying of their trade. Maybe a few of them have managed to follow his tracks and took a few of the children while they were away from the others.
I had another idea where a group of bandits zerg rush the camp, not realizing that their targets are not all helpless travellers but capable warriors. During the foray, a few of the bandits realized they are outclassed but manage to grab a child or two to use as hostages to ensure their escape.
I will try to come up with other ideas and post them here.  |

Uwaaah, I've had the ideas stewing and brewing at the back of my mind for a little while and came to the conclusion that I really like 'em!! Though I have a hard time picking which one of the two. I think maybe the first one would be most plausible. A group of people (even if they are innocent looking performers) are less likely to be attacked than a single person. The baddies could just lie in wait until they can catch Taern off guard and maybe alone (or with child, it seems Shun has taken a definate liking to him). There might be a boom and a pow and oh nos! The baddies get away with a kid or two.
We could have Loclaren send a 'retrieval group' after the sorry soul that decided to steal children from the troupe, since he will probably stay behind (being some sort of a leader and guidance person and all - or am I mistaken, Cypher?) I think a max of three people should cut it? And would we like to jump right into the chase after the poachers/bandits/slavers, or would we like to play out their attack first (personally, I wouldn't mind some action, but dear Fugue won't be able to do much - he's not really much of a fighter) *wriggles* Oooh, exciting!

Loclaren would send the fighters and the trackers, those with the best chance of getting the kids back.Not sure if he'd go too, he's not one to sit behind, but if he's not the best for the job...

I think it'd be fun to see how far a fallen Winged, a Peace Keeper and a Death Elf will get together *bounces*

I wouldn't mind playing out the action scene just before the kidnapping if everyone else is up to it.
You know, I haven't spent much time with the other characters except Fugue, I really should get familiar with the other characters' bios. If there are huge differences in personalities, beliefs (what have you) this should be very interesting. |

Most definately! I'll be looking forward to that. I love Taern's view on life, his devotion to Alma. It clashes so wonderfully with reality *wriggles*
We have a lot of characters with a spoft spot for el kiddos in the caravan, it's great!
So how should we go about this best? Who's gonna start?

Um, out of curiosity, are we sure we want to start a thread like this right away? I"m not sure how often we'll get to a computer when I come visit Butterfly... if no one minds waiting during Sept, then I think those with the ideas should start

Well, I wouldnt mind waiting in september and I'm always eager to get an RP fix or reading the plays of others, so I'd say go for it! Or plot more~

*wriggles* All designated RP'ers have returned home safely and graduatd safely as well, so if everybody is still up for it we can get this topic rolling~ I'm aching to be creative again, I missed RPing with you guys. Plus, I have plans for NaNoWriMo this year that involves a few of these characters, so I'd like toi get some more practise in before I start writing~ <3

So darlings, are we looking to have the kidnapping interrupted before the snatch, or after? Or a chase-along, or both? (Maybe the twins should be otherwise occupied... LOL)

*laughs* I didn't really have anything planned, just threw in an idea. Maybe we can have those four target Taern, conclude they picked the wrong people to mess with and snatch Shun as collateral for a safe getaway?
