PostPost subject: Leo Elan Reply with quote

Name: Leo (Leonardo) Elan (meaning 'friendly')

Age: 23
Age Appearance: 18 (he looks much younger than he actually is)

Gender: Male.
Species/Race: Element User; earth.

Appearance: Leo has almost whitish blonde hair cropped short, but falling into his face in unruly curls and thus obscuring his vision all the time. He is often found blowing his hair out of his face. Underneath the flop of white curls are deep brown eyes, always sporting a bit of a lazy expression. A few freckles mar his skin, but they only cover the bridge of his nose. Usually dressing in wide, comfortable clothing, it's hard to guess Leo's physique at first glance. He has never been much of a fighter, lazy as he is and he has the skinny legs to prove it. His arms however, are quite athletic and his fingers especially. On the back of his neck is the Zodiac tattoo of the sheep, or in his case a ram, for being male.

Personality: Ever positive but horribly lazy, Leo will only take initiative if it's asked of him. Like a real sheep, he is much more of a follower than a leader. He likes to busy himself with inane things, like watching bugs crawl up blades of grass or listen to the wind and rain and FISHING! Oh, how he loves fishing: it combines two of his favourite things: waiting and doing nothing. Excellent time for him to do a nap. He's also a big fan of juggling and games. Though seemingly foolish and useless, it's the fun and games that taught Leo how to fight. His juggling skills have given him expert dexterity, able to use both hands evenly well (ambidexterious) and perfect aim. It wouldn’t be the first time someone underestimated him for being 'just another juggling fool' after which he would swiftly shut them up with a few well-thrown pebbles.

Leo is a very friendly person, always up for doing fun things. He's unable to deny anyone anything and has gotten himself into trouble more than once by following the wrong person around. It might seem like Leo doesn't have an opinion of his own, always letting other people decide for him - but in fact he just really doesn't like to make decisions. He does however, have a taste for sake and other kinds of alcohol and can be persuaded (or bribed) with the promise of it.

History: Leo has always been considered a dumb child. His parents didn’t know what to do with him, not expecting any great things from him and decided it would be best for him to devote his life to God. Growing up with other children around the Temple, Leo lived a relatively happy life. He loved life at the temple: it was calm and peaceful and he made some really good friends (or more specifically, people he’d follow around until they would tell him to go do something else).

He never grew into any fits of unreasonable puberty during his years at the Temple, too lazy to throw tantrums or have things go his way. Even his hormones seemed to be as mellow as he was, never flaring. He did develop a desire to be close to other people, getting a feeling of intense happiness if they would allow him to fall asleep with his head in their lap, or leaning against them.

But his happy, peaceful life at the Temple was shattered when the Necrotheist Raven showed up. Leo didn’t even try to resist, knowing it would be a losing game. He was one of the first to die and also one of the first to be reborn as an Element User. He woke up in a peaceful meadowland, surrounded by sheep with the ability to manipulate the earth underneath his fingertips.

Occupation/Job: Would love to be a sake-brewer, but does all kinds of odd jobs to survive.
Interesting Facts/Quirks: Leo likes to chew on stuff, from his fingernails to a blade of grass. He's especially fond of chewing liquorice root.
Hobby/Hobbies: Fishing; napping; drinking; watching the stars.

Likes: Alcohol; games (card games, board games, field games, children's games, etc); naps in the sunshine; placing his head in someone's lap and sleep.
Dislikes: People yelling at him (it makes him cry); broccoli.

Strength: Leo is that dependable guy that's always there and will always do as you say. He's not much of a close-range fighter, but he can hit a bird with a rock at a distance of several feet.
Weakness/Flaw: He lets other people boss him around too much and never stands up for himself. He's too much into alcohol and unable to grasp the gravity of a situation sometimes.

Roleplay Sample:
Leo treasured moments like these, moments the world seemed perfect and serene. He could hear a dragonfly nearby, the rapid beat of its wings fluttering close to his ear. The Ram was chewing on a tuft of grass, its slight flavour coating his tongue and making him remember home. The scent of flowers filled his nostrils and made him feel fuzzy, the sun shining down on him delicately, warming his skin and his heart. His clothes felt soft, despite the fact they were dirty from working in the temple’s gardens all day. Resting his hands on his own chest, Leo could feel the steady rise and fall of body as he breathed. He was completely relaxed, his head cradled on a warm and inviting lap.

His eyes fluttering open, the Ram looked at the blue afternoon sky, hints of sundown starting to sneak onto the canvas of the sky. It would still be awhile until dinner, but he was allowed his rest for now. From underneath the flop of almost white hair, Leo cast a lazy glance at the dark-haired monk he was resting his head on. The older man looked as quiet and peaceful as Leo felt, his dark hair stirred slightly by the summer breeze. His eyes were closed as if he were meditating and his calm face made Leo smile slightly. Being with Fernando always made him feel so peaceful.

Redirecting his attention back to the sky, the Ram shifted slightly. “Hey Fernando,” he said, his voice low and lazy, the tuft of grass bobbing on his lip as he spoke. He reached one hand upwards, spreading his fingers and looking through them at the sky as if that would grant him some sort of special vision of the world. “What do you reckon god looks like?”

Even though he was a monk and he devoted his life praying to their god, Leo’s mind wasn’t sharp enough to be able to grasp the concept of divinity. He needed a visual to go with the concept, or else he would never understand. Fernando’s dark eyes slid open and he looked down on the Ram with a gentle expression. The Dragon brushed some white curls from Leo’s face, curls that were obscuring his vision and hid his beautifully bright eyes away. He didn’t speak, just looking down on the younger monk.

Leo tilted his head backwards, expecting an answer, but as he looked at his leader like that, the Ram came to a conclusion. Blinking slowly, he could see Fernando haloed by sunlight, the softest and most gentle expression on his face. It made the tuft of grass slip from Leo’s lips as they parted in awe, a warm feeling pushing up in his chest. He adored the man above him, like all of them did. He was completely and utterly devoted to the Dragon who had taught them so much and Leo licked his lips, before speaking: “I think he looks like you.”
