How Should I Start Off RPing On Hidden Sanctuary?
Before posting on Hidden Sanctuary, you need a character. Please look in the Pathway of the Race before deciding to start your character creation. There is a character sheet in Character Profiles to guide in typing up your character, make sure you use it. If it is accepted, it will be moved to the Approved section and you will be sent a message informing you of the approval. For quick approvals, make your character sheets -- fruitful and interesting.
Images are allowed but keep them a reasonable size if you are going to post them up. If it is a large picture, give a link instead.
Before posting in a forum, we expect you to read the information for each subforum. And if you are going to join a roleplay, you should interact with other characters in your first post or at least supply a prompt. Once you are done with the Creation Circle process, you are allowed to post a thread. We recommend you write the term 'Open' in brackets so people know that it is available for other players.
List of types of threads
Open - Allowing any player to join and post immediately within your thread.
Private - Restricts other players from joining your thread and only allowing the certain players you picked to join.
Closed - A thread that used to be 'Open' but had enough characters in the thread or can't handle any more players. And so, not allowing any more people to join.
[Beware. Plot characters from mods and the admin might drop by in your roleplay to kick up a plot. (Of course, with your permission, first.)]
All games may potentially have mature content. This forum is for 18+ roleplayers and so, don't restrict. Though, please make sure other players are alright with your mature content before posting it up. It's all about respect for other members. If your character decides to expand the distance in which they travel, feel free to open a thread to the nearest city or establishment they go to. If it becomes popular enough, it will be made into a subforum and expanded into the world.
Each city or location in Quyvena has inns and ect even though you don't see them as subforums on the forum. As said before, if HS becomes more popular or member's characters begin to frequently travel to different place, it will be added to the world.
If you have a new roleplay and you will want people to join, feel free to post up a small description and a link to it in the New Roleplays thread. |
