Personality: While Sara is wild and flashy on the stage and able to completely captivate a crowd, she is actually quite reserved and gentle in person. She is like a kind older sister to some of the younger monks, especially Virgil (who frankly, really needs such a person in his life), always trying to help and keep things in order. She’s a total busybody—always needing to keep busy with something or else she gets restless.
Since her whole life basically revolves around the circus and being a monk, she is rather sheltered when it comes to the rest of the world. While she is bright, she can sometimes come off as very naïve as a result. Nonetheless, Sara always tries to be helpful whenever she can.
History: Sara led an odd and interesting life—monk by day, circus performer by night. She was born and raised in the circus, so it has always been an important part of her life. She received the nickname ‘Fire Bird’ for her vibrant red hair and the way she seems to just fly through the air with ease when performing. Not to mention, when she wasn’t doing acrobats, she was also trained in fire-dancing. Of course, ‘monkey’ is really the appropriate animal, given that it is her Zodiac Monk symbol—but most people wouldn’t know that.
If there is one things as important to her as her circus life, it’s her spirituality—which is why she chose to become a monk while still giving performances at her family’s circus. It made for a very, very busy life—just the way Sara likes it! And other than keeping such a busy life in balance, Sara has led a fairly uneventful existence. At least, until she and the rest of the monks were attacked.
In the fight against Raven, Sara was one of the last to die—fighting nonstop until she physically exhausted herself and could not fight anymore. She eventually was reborn as an Elemental User in a forest fire—in a completely unfamiliar land far from home. As soon as she came to understand her situation, Sara immediately began the long journey back to her home—hoping to perhaps run into some of her monk brethren who had also reawakened and to return to the circus…unfortunately, Sara is not aware of how long she has been dead, and it never occurred to her that the circus she was born and raised in may be long since gone.
Occupation/Job: M In the past, she was a monk, circus performer, dancer, fire-dancer--whatever kept her busy. Now, she does street performances from town to town to survive as she tries to get back home.
Interesting Facts/Quirks: One major thing that makes her seem naïve is the fact that she can’t tell when people are flirting or hitting on her. At all. She needs to be blatantly told or else she won’t get the hint.
Hobby/Hobbies: Dancing, singing, acrobatics, fire-dancing
Like: Meditating, music, perfume, playing with makeup, fruit
Dislikes: Being unproductive, spicy food, rain
Strength: She is quite strong and agile from her acrobatic training. She is best at hand-to-hand combat. She also has very good aim and is skilled with a bow and arrow. She’s a major overachiever and always tries to do things to the best of her abilities.
Weakness/Flaw: She isn’t trained to fight with any sort of close-combat weapon. Also, being such a busybody, sometimes Sara unnecessarily overworks herself to the point of exhaustion.
Anything else to add: When she was reborn, the marking of the zodiac animal she worships, the monkey, appeared on the bottom of her left foot. |
