It's relatively easy to get started around here. Seeing the RP can take place anywhere in the world, you'll just have to take a good look at all of the locations and decide where to place your character. Keep in mind that some places are better fit for your character than others. I wouldn't put him in a human city, for instance.
After that, you can dream up a nice first post and promote it over at the Roleplay Discussion or start up a topic there to brainstorm with other players where to go with the storyline. Another something you could do is take a look at the other approved characters and see if there's any one striking your fancy. You could send them a message through PM or something, requesting a play date : p Lastly, there are some open plays (labelled open) that you can hop into. I think the main concern is to get in touch with the other players and it'll go smoothly from there on out!
