I just spent several hours hours trying to find some thread into which I could introduce my character. Very few of the story threads have any posts in 2011. There are 5 which do and which are open, but none are such that I can just drop Jarrid in there. "Caged by You" in Draqui and the SUrrounding Area seemed interesting but there is no reason that Jarrid would intervene at the point to where it has progressed.
Even having read the materials here, I don't know this setting well enough to just yank something from my head and throw it out there. All I know for sure is that Jarrid wouldn't be in/near Tasera. Short of "Jarrid sits in a bar and looks at his drink", I have nothing for a start.

Tee hee, I admit - we're a small and slow forum. Give me two weeks and I'll be back in action with posting. There's a convention coming up where at least 4 of us are involved in (behind the scenes) so we're all a little busy meeting and managing, but we should be back on track in April!
I'll see if I can locate any of my characters near Tasera. Right now, Mickey is there, but he's rather involved dragging that poor drunk sap River to his bed. Hmmmmmm *thinks*

Probably noooooooot a good idea to throw Ridder and your Jarrid together in an opposing discussion anyways. I do not think Ridder would not take interference by a younger, atypical Executioner well. Depending on how the discussion went, in Ridder's mind it'd probably be a great excuse for a fight-to-the-death, which could get pretty dramatic >.<
Why not give him a task, and start there? Post it pretty much anywhere that takes your fancy- this board has a high number of characters that have the potential to go anywhere (Wysps, wanderers, for starters) and could reply. He could just be traveling, or maybe he's the sort to go off the beaten path, maybe he's just out to try the ale at every bar on the Road or in the nearest City. It doesn't have to start out exciting - maybe he is searching the world for a certain item, has an unholy craving for pickled beats, or is on a contract (Executioners take a lot of those, it pays their bills and lets them hit stuff). Another option would be to pick a character that sounds like fun and IM the author- and work out a possible thread with them.
