Oh man, you would not believe the trouble I went to in the last half hour to log into this site and, when I was just about to request a change of password for the second time, I finally realized that my username was wrong.
Dur!
Anyway, senior moment aside, I've been stalk- er, I mean lurking (yeah) these forums for a few days now. I saw an ad on Y! Gallery in the Roleplaying Artists club and decided to check it out. I would have joined earlier but I had an exam to prepare for and couldn't afford any distractions (no offense). Considering the channels I came through, obviously I'm here for the yaoi, but I've done heterosexual roleplays before so I'm not picky, closed-minded, bigoted or intolerant.
I can play both dominant and submissive roles but I found that I've been volunteering myself for 'topsies' because there were always so many 'bottoms' running around and someone needed to pick up the slack. I've always been very busy. XD
I'm looking forward to serving up some deep, involved storylines here with a generous helping of romance, drama, maybe a little angst and a sprinkling of some good old fashioned smut. I can get pretty hardcore in my descriptions but I've read my fair share of romance novels in my youth so I can tone it down if you want something more sentimental.
I've never been a huge fan of BDSM but I don't mind owning slaves. I've had to be the somewhat possessive and/or abusive boyfriend or master so many times it's like a default character trait for most of my men.
I think I've divulged enough information for now without giving too much away. If I did that where would all the mystery and intrigue come from? |

I'm going to brave the shy to welcome you first (muah ha ha).
Glad you got into the site, it sounds like you'll fit right in, so welcome to YH! As you mentioned, there will probably be a huge mismatch of Dom/sub/uke/Seme with a few Seke's thrown in, but we're already getting a couple non-yaoi characters thrown in so the mix and I don't think anyone who has signed up so far is against plot, angst, drama, romance or SmuttofAllKinds.

-waves- Welcome welcome! I find myself in your shoes a lot of the times as well. I play either role and personally prefer playing the submissive but since there are already so many ukes out there, I find my dominant characters often get a lot more attention than my submissive/bottom characters.
Dominant, possessive men for the win~ Personally I've never been toooo terribly interested in the mushy gushy stuff. I certainly never seek it out. But my characters have been known to form strong bonds with their partners if they click in just the right way(it's even more fun when this happens to characters who were never meant to be partners).
Perhaps our characters will find one another at some point. ^^

Oh, thank you so much for the warm welcome. I feel right at home already.
God! I love friendly forums like this, but it always makes me feel bad when I eventually move on and have to say my goodbyes. Well, I just got here so I won't even think about that right now. XD
@ Zombie: Yeah, I know what you mean, some of the best written relationships come from those that are the most unlikely. That's how I first got introduced to yaoi actually. I had a het character and he somehow got dragged into a homosexual relationship. I was pretty laid back at the time and thought 'Ah, what the hell. I'll roll with it' and here I am now, a huge yaoi fangirl. XD
I haven't created a character for this world yet but I plan on working on him this weekend and hopefully have it up by tomorrow. Maybe our characters will cross paths... I should spend sometime reading the Accepted Characters first though. |

-nodnod- I don't think I posted for the first week or so after I joined. I was busy just going through and reading all the information about the setting and the races and things like that. It really helps to get a feel for what you're going to play.
I'm not entirely sure how I got into yaoi actually... I think it happened waaaay back when Yahoo had personal chatrooms. But it's been ages ago so it's hard to recall. XD

Welcome, lover of all things awesome! Plot, angst, drama, smut; jeeze, I might actually be having a conniption. At any rate I definitely made funny noises and I'm certainly attracting odd stares from my cat and the goldfish. And I'm pretty sure the starfish just peeled himself off the glass in an effort to... run? away before I do something even more embarrassing.
A lot of people here seem to be at least familiar with Y!, which is rather nice. c: Anyway, I do hope we get a chance to roleplay. :3
