It feels like there is a lot here. Too much really, I feel overwhelmed by all of the choices. Would it be easier to put the worlds under a board by themselves to reduce clutter on the main page?
Would a thread that is a general "How To" for RPing be something you would be interested in? I've never done it, and I think it would be helpful for other users who have never done it either.

Thank you for your suggestions and thoughts! I appreciate your opinion.
When you mentioned that the forum seemed to have too much, I myself had wondered about that as well. But, as world-wide RP forum, it is bound to have quite a bit on it. There are many choices because it is supposed to fit everything that the world has within it. Qyuvena is the only world on this board, though there are many cities within the world that players can go to. But I will take your suggestion under thought.
As for the "How to" RPing suggestion, I am slightly wondering if you meant there should be a thread where it explain How to RP or do you mean a thread explaining how to RP on HS?
If it is the latter, there is already a thread like that created. It is called How To Start RolePlaying on HS.

I was suggesting a general "What is RPing and How To Do It", so that the forum aids people who aren't familiar with role playing instead of making them google around and letting them choose a different place that already has an established community that may be more "newbie friendly". I just say this, because there's not an actual explanation of what RPing is, and how to do it effectively.
This is so everyone meshes together easier, newbies AND people who have been doing this for awhile.
What do you think?

I see what you are asking now. Well, I suppose that could be helpful but this forum is made for people more active in the roleplaying community. Though we want our beginners to feel comfortable, HS is not here to train people how to RP.
But, if you need help with understanding how to roleplay, I'd more then happily help out with that. All our moderators are fluent RPers, and they will be more then delighted to explain and advise you on how to start off with RPing. I find that it is easier to learn by watching other people's examples as well.
I recommend chatting up DivineDarkness. They are very helpful and love to meet new people. |
