This is an 18+ forum. You must be 18 or older to play.
I. Information
Certain subforums will have a rules and information set that you should read and some won't. If there is a information thread for the subforum, please make sure to read it, thank you.
II. Literacy
As a member of Hidden Sanctuary, you must understand what is considered 'literate' roleplaying. It's good that you are able to convey a message but you should also be able to set a scene, describe your character, and do it well enough so other users are able to understand it. This forum is written in 3rd POV, please keep it as such.
III. Posting
No double posting. If you need to add more information that you forgot about, there is an edit feature. If you post in the wrong forum an admin or moderator may move it to what they see fit. You can also PM an admin or moderator to do this for you if you make a mistake. Any OOC [Out Of Character] posts that the admin or moderators deem unnecessary or slanderous will be deleted. This goes for racism, homophobia, religious and political differences, and so forth.
Good spelling and grammar. This means correct punctuation and quotes also, as you would read in a book. No one liners. Please try to maintain a balance with the person who you are roleplaying with. If you have more than two people in a thread with you, please allow them the chance to post.
When you are posting 18+ material that involves graphic, sexual content please label it in your title as a warning to other members so they don't get more then an eye full. We recommend placing the word Mature beside your title or the letter M.
IV. Membership
You are allowed to have one account per member. We keep the right to to delete multiple accounts without prior notification. Members are encouraged to be honest about their identity. As for usernames, try to find something within the boundaries of proper. If you sign up with a username such as "dirtyslut" or something as unflattering, your account will be deleted.
If you want your username changed, please send a message to an admin or moderator requesting the change with the preferred name included in your message. If you want your username to be the same are your character's name, that is fine but if you make more than one character that doesn't mean you can have multiple accounts.
V. Signatures
Keep them small and simple. It may contain an image but please keep them reasonably small so they don't attract too much attention. The preferred size of the images is 450x in width by 130x in height. If they are too big, you will be warned. If you refuse, it will be removed forcibly. It is recommended you place links to your characters in your signatures, but this is not enforced.
VI. Advertising
Do not do it in a post, signature, or your profile. Advertisers and all their posts will be removed.
VII. Characters
You are allowed as many characters as you want as long as you are able to handle using all of them. No pre-existing characters, please make all of them original. No one from television shows, anime, games, movies or books. Make sure to fill out the character sheet posted in the Creation Circle and post the filled template in Character Profiles. Await until it is approved and moved to the appropriate subforum.
By the way, your characters can die in any of the forums, though make sure to remember it is usually with your permission.
VIII. Administrators and Global Moderators
We have the final say. If you feel like you're being treated unfairly by a Moderator, please PM an Administrator. From there, we'll try our best to fix everything out and not get others unnecessarily involved.
Moderators and Administrators also are required to post an actor picture when they are posting in the forum, but that does not mean you have to. An actor picture are small photos they have above their messages when talking to users, that expresses their feelings. Also, Moderators and Administrators have roleplay characters that are important to the plot. They are allowed to godmod. Keep an eye out for them.
