The road stretches over the continent, connecting cities and towns. Sometimes it might not be the most direct route to a place, but it will eventually get you to every town or city that a person can reach by land. There are often people traveling by foot, caravan, or steed. There is a mix of people on it. Certain sections of it are patrolled by guards from the nearest cities, but most of it is empty except for travelers.
There are special landmarks on the road as well and they often help guide travelers as well as the wooden posts that point in the direction of certain towns and cities.
For the most part the road is one of the safest route, because there is constant traffic, though there are certain areas that are known for bandits or can be troublesome. |
