PostPost subject: Aimeric Fisher Reply with quote

Name: Aimeric (Ey-muh-rick) Fisher, nicknamed ‘Merry’.

Age: 26.
Age Appearance: He looks his age.

Gender: Male.
Species/Race: Just ye plain ol’ human.

Appearance: Dirty, sun bleached hair cover Aimeric’s eyes all the time, almost as if he were hiding them. Therefore there are little people who know that his eyes are actually a plain and uninteresting hazel. He mostly dresses in simple clothes, not one to feel particularly fussy over what he wears. If it’s comfy, he’ll wear it until something better comes along. Aimeric isn’t very tall, he bled in with the crowd rather well, though he has broader shoulders and stronger arms than the average male his age.

Personality: Above all else, Aimeric is a very calm and laid-back person, that works hard and doesn’t fuss over small things. He doesn’t worry easily and radiates a kind of gentleness that sets people at easy upon first meeting. But his lack of voice oftentimes creep people out. He doesn’t mind, though. Aimeric is hard to anger, serious but breezes his way through life at his own pace.

History: Aimeric has always loved the sea. From when he was a little boy, his father would take him fishing on open waters. One day, Aimeric was unfortunate enough to fall out of his father’s boat and almost drowned. He was rescued by a magical creature of the sea, a merperson or an elemental – he doesn’t know. But for saving his life, the creature wanted something in return: his voice. Naturally, Aimeric gave it.

He grew up not being able to speak, but was never bullied because of it. He still went on fishing trips with his father, growing healthy and strong. He never complained and never gave up and lived the simple life of a fisherman until the age of 23. Thinking it was about time their son settled down, his parents set up a marriage for him, but the girl refused to be his until he could ask for her hand in a proper manner. Having been raised on tradition and virtue, Aimeric agreed to go on a journey to find his voice, so he could marry the girl when he came back.

Two years later, he still hadn’t found it. Along the way, he has met with a lot of different people, some staying with him longer than others. A few months ago, Merry stubbornly set out into sea knowing fully well a storm was approaching, because he was certain to have a lead on the sea creature that took his voice. But things went horribly wrong and Merry's ship wrecked in the storm. He was miraculously picked up by a crew of pirates and has been with them ever since, feeling a kind of affinity with the men of the sea.

He has been travelling a lot, especially with 'the Great Pirate Bailey', tryng to get new leads on his sea creature and to get Bailey some fame as a notorious pirate. But so far it seems neither of them is getting quite what they bargained for.

Occupation/Job: Fisherman.
Interesting Facts/Quirks: Though it is his job to catch fish, gut them and sell them back at his hometown, Aimeric is surpringly enough not so fond of eating fish.
Hobby/Hobbies: Taking long naps in the late summer sunshine; reading a book every now and then.

Likes: Watermelons; heavy storms; the sound of waves and the smell of salty air.
Dislikes: Stressed people; yelling people; porcupines and sea urchins (he hates prickly things).

Strength: Aimeric has a lot of patience in dealing with people and situations. He really doesn’t mind waiting. And as a fisherman, he’s an expert at sailing and catching fish.
Weakness/Flaw: The most obvious flaw in Aimeric’s repertoire is the fact he cannot speak. That makes it hard to communicate with him and he is often considered an oddball because of it. Furthermore he’s a pretty laid-back kind of guy. Not exactly lazy, but never in a hurry, either. It’s hard to get him to hurry up.

Anything else to add:

Quote: ". . ."

[Lid'l: Maybe somewhere in the future, someone would be willing to play the sea creature? Epic fight on a boat xD *imagination running wild*]
