Appearance: Kana is, like most tarot witches, a very beautiful and stunning lady. She has big, beguiling brown deer eyes and soft, wavy hair. She has a pretty face and attractive curves to her body, but her time is running out: her hands and feet are wrinkled and wasted like those of an old woman. She usually wears long sleeves or gloves to hide them.

In every ear, Kana wears three silver hoop earrings, engraved with magical symbols. She wears talismans and charms that increase her magic, even though she doesn’t need such trinkets. Her hair is completely colourless – the sign that she had used a lot of magic over the years. Her skin is rather tanned, at odds with her fair hair.

Personality: Quiet, but always friendly, though there is a calculated and pensive edge to all of her actions. She seems like the type to never do anything without careful consideration - a very opportunistic person. But she’s not an egoistic person. She cares for others, but dislikes useless things what makes her seem arrogant or uncaring most of the time.

Other than that, Kana is very vain. She has a beautiful face and loves hearing she has. Expensive clothing, fashionable jewelery, rich perfumes: she can’t get enough of them. She won’t leave her house without looking impeccable and any flaw is taken care of with almost brutal efficiency.

Kana has never married and does not believe in love, only in dependability. People depend on each other. Except for her, she depends only on herself.

History: Long ago, people told their children fairytales to scare them and get them to behave:

Once upon a time in a land far away there lived a witch that made cards. Sometimes she would run into a young child and ask them if they had been good. If the child admitted to having been bad, she would steal their soul and turn them into a card. If the child lied, the witch would know and also steal their soul. The only way one could win against the witch was to answer her three riddles. But she was a smart witch and no one could guess her riddles. And so, the witch turned many children into cards.

Kana is that witch. She has lived for almost three centuries, constantly prolonging her life with her magic to reach her one and only goal in life: to create the ultimatief tarot deck in the world: the Great Arcana.

But opposed to the story, Kana is not looking for children. She has travelled the world, looking for strong warriors she could transform into cards: Blade Masters for Swords, Beast Masters for Clubs, Summoners for Cups and Cratiles for Pentacles. The great war has provided her with a lot of lost souls and she is down to six cards remaining to complete her set.

After the war, she settled down in Vorrian, where she started up a small business in fortunes and low level magic potions. She has made quite a living for herself, but sometimes she grows frustrated with the fact that the peaceful lands around her provide no ample warriors anymore. Dark thoughts of stirring up a fight whisper in her mind, though she has not yielded to them yet.

Occupation/Job: Medicine woman, woning a shop where people can have their fortune told with tarot cards, where they can buy herbal potions to place or get rid of curses.
Interesting Facts/Quirks: Kana always bathes in milk and honey, so her fragrance is always sweet. Also, she knows a lot of children’s lullabies from times long past.
Hobby/Hobbies: Shopping;

Dislikes: Human men (too boarish and crude); cratiles (calling them cretins); rainy days (they make her hair go fuzzy);

Strength: Kana’s biggest strength is her magical power. She can effortlessly summon the spirits from her tarot cards and detect magic when it is being used.
Weakness/Flaw: Kana has very bad health. She’s easily out of breath and can’t lift heavy things. Also, she is very vain. It has been used against her many times.

Anything else to add: Kana will pursue anyone she deems fit to be added to her collector, though she only has interest in the aforementioned races for her cards. She is not interested in love or romance and is very good at knowing when to shut up.
